Greenwich Hospital Re-development – release of Detailed Design

Submissions to NSW Planning Portal (not an easy process) by 27 October

The re-development of Greenwich Hospital has been designated as a State Significant Development (SSD).

This means that Council has no role in assessment or determination of the project although its input is important to the overall process.

Council has included the project on its Have your say page. The Department of Planning and Environment will determine the SSD.

If the relevant Council objects to the proposal or there are at least 50 objections from the public, the Independent Planning Commission will be the determining authority.

Given that Council has no role in the exhibition of this SSD, it is unlikely that Council will hold a community information session about the project.

Have your say - submissions close 27 October
